Support the MDA! (Link Now Available)

I am participating in a Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraiser again this year. The last time was two years ago.

On May 14th, I will be “arrested” and taken in a limo to a restaurant downtown to turn in my collected monies and make phone calls to gain pledges.

I only do this every other year because I and most people I know support a lot of great works, but since my dad died from Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS), (which is different from MD, but falls under the same research and testing) I really like to support this organization

If you want to contribute, make checks out to “MDA” and send them to me. Use the Contact Me link to get my address if you don’t have it.

Here is the link where you can donate online with a debit or credit card.  I know there are a lot of important causes out there so I am very grateful if you are able to help.

Thanks and God bless.

Nobody loves a good meme like me.

Trey did this. I assume I am tagged. So I will do it.

What I was doing 10 years ago:

Summer of 1998, I graduated. So technically, 10 years ago right now I was finishing up my English degree at FHU. That Fall I preached four months and prepared to move to Italy to spend two years there doing mission work.

Just Random Monday Stuff (Updated)

I decide to start selling stuff on Ebay, as much to simplify as to make money.  There will be lots of books (attention preachers) and maybe some kid’s clothes later on.  You can see what I have so far by going here.

I have also uploaded yesterday’s sermon.  Go here for part 3 of the Sermon on the Mount.

Marisa and I are attempting an TV fast this week. It is part of a national organization. I have encouraged everyone at church to give up TV or something this week to spend more time with who’s important-God, family, church. We will see how it turns out. Why not join us?

The Pope was at Yankee Stadium yesterday. I heard he went 2 for 4 with two doubles, an rbi, and two runs. Not bad. I wish I had him on my fantasy team. He would have had a triple in the first inning but he tripped on his dress.

Speaking of Il Papa, when we lived in Italy, there was an English worship service on Sunday evenings at Pepperdine’s Florence campus. One semester the students had a shirt printed as a souvenir. They wanted it to say, “Who’s your daddy?” in Italian. Why, I don’t know. But because of a couple of typos involving an accent mark and an article, it come out more like, “Who’s your female Pope?” That was funny.
