BASEBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So glad it’s baseball season. Only one week away!  It’s laid-back.  It’s only slow and boring if you feel you have to watch every pitch.  Just enjoy it in the background.  I do a lot with the Mets games on the radio.  Here are some picks and predictions:

Spring Training and Lord of the Rings

I am enjoying Spring Training and excited about another season of baseball:  real and fantasy.

In honor of the annual rites of Spring, here is a lineup consisting of real names of baseball players that could be mistaken for J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings characters.  I will let you decide if they are evil monsters or heros.

C–Wellington

1B–Jharmidy

2B–Kobernus

3B–Catricala

SS–Amezaga

OF–Gindl

OF–Szczur

OF–Yasiel Puig

SP1–Lotzkar

SP2–Bibens-Dirkx

SP3–Arquimedes

Super Bowl Prediction

I think that San Fran will have a slim lead at half-time but Ray Lewis will severely injure Colin Kaepernick in the second quarter and while playing bloodied and injured like the Black Knight (“None Shall Pass”).

Baltimore will take the lead in the second half but Alex Smith will come off the bench to lead a TD drive and the Niner D will score to win it.

San Francisco 49ers–34

Baltimore Ravens– 30
